September 24, 2010 Hundreds of music fans packed the Hard Rock Cafe in the nation's capital last night for a BMI showcase of exciting singer/songwriters from the Washington area. The event was hosted by BMI Youth Ambassador Margot MacDonald, who has carried the message of strong copyright protection to the White House and Congress over the past two years. The showcase raised money for Hungry for Music, a charity based in the nation's capital that provides musical instruments for disadvantaged young people. Seen in a group photo after the showcase are members of headlining band Melodime, and singer/songwriters Paul Masson, Rene Moffat and Molly Hagen, flanked by BMI Senior VPs Richard Conlon (left) and Fred Cannon (third from right).
