‘Why Wait’ Celebrated for Topping the Charts

BMI and Big Machine Records recently toasted the team behind Rascal Flatts’ #1 hit “Why Wait” at a party held in downtown Nashville. Co-written by BMI writers Tom Shapiro and Jimmy Yeary, “Why Wait” is the second chart topper for the pair - they also co-wrote Joe Diffie’s “In Another World” in 2001 – and marks a monumental 25th #1 for Shapiro.
