Robert Earl Keen performed in front of more than 500 advertising agency executives and radio VIPs during the American Association of Advertising Agencies’ (4A’s) annual conference, held recently in Austin. BMI and the Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) were charged with booking the event’s musical entertainment, and they turned to the Texas treasure, who has remained a critic and fan favorite for more than two decades. Keen’s set canvassed his 17 albums and featured his signature blend of erudite good-times songs, including the crowd-pleasing “The Road Goes on Forever,” also recorded by The Highwaymen. Pictured after the performance are Katz Marketing Solutions President Bob McCurdy, RAB President & CEO Jeff Haley , Keen, 4A’s President & CEO Nancy Hill, and BMI’s Dan Spears.
