June 14, 2011 BMI singer/songwriter Charlie Worsham’s self-penned songs and ace musicianship on both guitar and banjo thoroughly impressed radio and television executives gathered for the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) joint board meeting, held recently in Washington, D.C. Worsham has been tapped to open for Miranda Lambert later this month, while he will warm up audiences on Taylor Swift’s tour this fall. Pictured after the performance are NAB Board member Steve Newberry, CEO of Commonwealth Broadcasting; NAB Board member Caroline Beasley, EVP/CFO of Beasley Broadcasting; Gordon Smith, NAB President/CEO; Worsham; BMI’s Mason Hunter; and Jack Sander, BMI Board Chairman and former NAB Joint Chair.
