Grammy- and Emmy-winning BMI songwriter/composer Charlie Fox headlined the Society of Singers’ benefit dinner – “An Evening with Charlie Fox” – at Café Cordiale in Sherman Oaks on Monday, January 23. The Songwriter Hall of Fame member has written such songs as Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly,” Barry Manilow’s “Ready to Take a Chance Again” and Jim Croce’s “I Got a Name,” in addition to composing theme songs to the television shows Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Wonder Woman, Love Boat and many more.
