February 8, 2012 Jessi Colter picked up BMI Million-Air Awards celebrating the million-plus performances of three of her late husband Waylon Jennings’ songs: “Rainy Day Woman,” “Good-Hearted Woman” and “Good Ol’ Boys.” “Rainy Day Woman,” written by Jennings alone, has earned more than one million performances, while “Good-Hearted Woman,” which Jennings wrote with Willie Nelson, has received more than three million. The iconic theme song for the popular television show The Dukes of Hazzard, “Good Ol’ Boys” has garnered more than two million performances. An award-winning BMI singer/songwriter herself, Jessi Colter was one of the few women to help shape the outlaw movement. Pictured are BMI’s Clay Bradley, Colter and BMI’s David Preston. (Photo by )
