Nashville Toasts Songwriters Behind Keith Urban’s Chart-topping ‘You Gonna Fly’
BMI celebrated the team behind Keith Urban’s two-week No. 1 “You Gonna Fly” on April 11 during a party at beloved Nashville restaurant Chappy’s. Preston Brust and Chris Lucas of the LoCash Cowboys teamed up with the Cadillac Black’s Jaren Johnston to co-write the song, which was the first trip to the top of the charts for each of them. “You Gonna Fly” marks the 14th No. 1 for Urban, who became the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry earlier this week. Brust and Lucas are currently touring the country with LoCash Cowboys, and Johnston’s Cadillac Black will release their self-titled debut record next week.
