June 27, 2012 BMI songwriter Brandon Kinney was the featured entertainment at the Montana Broadcasters Association (MBA) annual convention, held June 24 at the Grouse Mountain Lodge. Kinney, who writes for Tom Leis Music, performed songs from his album It Smells Like Texas, as well as hits he has written for Willie Nelson, Lonestar and Randy Houser. Brandon and Houser wrote “Boots On” together, which became a smash for Houser and was BMI’s second most-performed country song of 2009. Pictured after his performance are MBA Board Chair and Cherry Creek Radio-Great Falls General Manager Ron Korb, Kinney, MBA President/CEO Greg MacDonald and BMI's Dan Spears.
