On June 29, BMI joined the Florida Association of Broadcasters (FAB) in honoring legendary artist and songwriter Barry Gibb with the FAB’s Service to Florida Award. BMI President & CEO Del Bryant was on hand to pay tribute to the iconic leader of the Bee Gees, one of music’s most influential groups, for the philanthropic work he has done in the Miami area. Gibbs, who has owned a home in South Florida for more than 20 years, has worked closely with both the Diabetes Institute and the Miami Beach Community Health Center to raise money for various charitable initiatives. The ceremony took place at a dinner at the Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach, where the FAB was holding its annual convention. Pictured are Hall Communications President and FAB Board Chair Art Rowbotham, FAB President Pat Roberts, Gibb, Univision Radio Senior Vice President and outgoing FAB Board Chair Claudia Puig and BMI President & CEO Del Bryant.
