BMI Summer Nights Kicks Off With Two Top-Shelf Shows
BMI’s second annual Summer Nights concert series kicked off its 2012 season with two high-energy shows. The first installment, held on Sunday, June 17 at the Levitt Pavilion in Pasadena, featured acts Mexican Institute of Sound (M.I.S., pictured) and Mr. Vallenato. Mr. Vallenato set the pace for the night with his mix of Colombian cumbia and vallenato, followed by M.I.S. and his blend of Mexican electronica, folk and modern sounds.
