August 7, 2012 BMI sponsored a performance by Republic Nashville recording artist Greg Bates at the West Virginia Broadcasters Association annual summer conference held on August 4 at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs. The BMI songwriter performed his current hit single, “Did It for the Girl,” which recently broke into the top 30 on the Billboard country charts, as well as other songs from his upcoming album. Bates, who wrote or co-wrote every tune on the new album, will be performing on Brantley Gilbert’s first headlining tour which kicks off this fall. Pictured after Greg’s performance are BMI’s Dan Spears; Bates; Michele Crist, Executive Director, West Virginia Broadcasters Association; and Jay Philippone, Owner of Priority Communications and WVBA Board Chair.
