Ray Benson Brings Texas Swing to Annual TAB Convention
In what has become an annual tradition, BMI brought a Texas icon to kick-off the Texas Association of Broadcasters Convention in Austin: Ray Benson, founder of Grammy-winning Texas swing band Asleep at the Wheel. After mingling with broadcasters, Benson capped off the evening with an acoustic set of crowd favorites including "Miles and Miles of Texas," "Route 66" and "On the Road Again.” In addition to winning nine Grammys, Benson is the host of the Texas Music Scene TV series and the signature image or voice of numerous brands.
