BMI Composers Celebrate Paramount’s 100th Anniversary

September 6, 2012 BMI Award-winning composer David Newman conducted the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra in celebration of Paramount Pictures’ 100th Anniversary at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday, September 2. Acclaimed actor Jason Alexander hosted the event, entitled “The Big Picture: Paramount’s 100th Anniversary,” which was produced in cooperation with Paramount Pictures. The work of BMI composers Lalo Schifrin, who wrote the theme for Mission Impossible, and Alan Silvestri, who penned the score for Forrest Gump, was featured in the evening's program, while BMI’s Doreen Ringer Ross was also on hand to help celebrate the occasion.
