BMI Toasts ‘Drunk on You’
BMI toasted the team behind Luke Bryan’s latest hit “Drunk on You” on September 17 at the CMA offices on Music Row. Bryan’s fifth career No. 1, “Drunk on You” was co-written by three of Nashville’s hottest songwriters: Rodney Clawson, who co-wrote George Strait’s “I Saw God Today,” and Chris Tompkins and Josh Kear, who co-wrote Carrie Underwood’s smash “Before He Cheats.” Pictured are (front row) Kear, producer Jeff Stevens, Bryan, Clawson and Tompkins; (back row) Mike Sistad and BMI's Jody Williams.
