September 25, 2012 BMI welcomed Music Row executives, songwriters, friends, and family to the rooftop of its Nashville offices Friday afternoon for a party celebrating the Little Big Town No. 1 “Pontoon.” The hugely successful summer anthem was co-written by red-hot songwriter Luke Laird, who celebrated his tenth No.1 single; Natalie Hemby, who celebrated her second; and first-time chart-topper Barry Dean. “Pontoon” also marks the first No. 1 for Little Big Town, whose album Tornado also clinched the No. 1 spot. All three of the songwriters, along with all four members of Little Big Town, are members of the BMI family.
