January 17, 2013 BMI celebrated the first No.1 hit for one of Country music’s most undeniably rising stars: Hunter Hayes. With a New Orleans-themed brunch, BMI feted Hayes, a three-time GRAMMY nominee, including Best New Artist, and co-writer Troy Verges for the success of “Wanted.” The song was Verges’ third No. 1 and is currently nominated for the 2012 GRAMMY for Best Country Solo Performance.
