BMI’s Catherine Brewton Honored by Nonprofit Mentoring Organization
BMI’s Vice President of Writer-Publisher Relations Catherine Brewton was honored by SistaFriendz—a non-profit mentoring organization—for her contributions to the gospel music industry. The 1st Annual SistaFriendz Stellar Women of Gospel Awards, which took place on January 19th, 2013, celebrated the dedication and behind-the-scenes work by women to benefit gospel music artists. For the past 14 years, Catherine has overseen the BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards Luncheon, which most recently honored genre legends Edwin Hawkins, Lady Tramaine Hawkins, and Kurt Carr.
