BMI at the Texas Heritage Songwriters Homecoming Weekend
BMI recently sponsored the Texas Heritage Songwriters Homecoming Weekend in Austin, TX . The Association honors and celebrates Texas songwriters who have played an important role in defining and interpreting Texas' distinctive culture. This year's inductees into the Hall Of Fame were Sonny Curtis, Ronnie Dunn, and Roger Miller. The weekend consisted of a VIP performance by Michael Martin Murphey and friends at the legendary Saxon Pub on Friday; the Darrell K Royal Songwriter' Homecoming at the Bob Bullock Museum on Saturday, with performances by Mac McAnally, Scotty Emerick and Chris Stapleton; and the Hall of Fame Awards Show at the ACL/Moody Theater on Sunday.
