June 19, 2013 Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) was on hand at The IFP narrative lab on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in New York City. BMI composer Peter Nashel, music supervisor Sue Jacobs and Doreen Ringer-Ross, BMI Vice President of Film/TV Relations were featured workshop leaders. Composer Peter Nashel led a conversation which explored score approaches and original music for film. The lab concluded with a moderated discussion by film producer Susan Stover in which music supervisor Sue Jacobs and Doreen Ringer-Ross delved into the nuances of licensing songs.
