Hit Songwriter A-Rod Visits BMI Los Angeles Office
Al-Sherrod "A-Rod" Lambert from Newark, New Jersey, is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after songwriters in the world of R&B. It's this gifted writer who was partly responsible for helping Fantasia enter Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart at No. 1 and the Billboard 200 at No. 2 with her critically acclaimed album Side Effects of You, released in late April. BMI Los Angeles executives recently sat down with A-Rod to congratulate him on his latest success, which includes penning Ariana Grande's current hit single with Big Sean, "Right There," and contributing to several songs on her debut album, Yours Truly, the No. 1 album in the country. A-Rod has also delved into the artist development business by nurturing artists Khristian, who has recently been featured on MTV’s Buckwild and The Wake Bros, and Bianca Iman, whose debut project, Bianca, he executive produced.
