BMI Celebrates the No. 1 Song “Wagon Wheel”
BMI Celebrates the No. 1 Song “Wagon Wheel” Broadcast Music, Inc. celebrated the storied history and success of "Wagon Wheel" this week at a No. 1 party held at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. Co-written by Old Crow Medicine Show's Ketch Secor and Bob Dylan, and recorded as a country single for the first time by Darius Rucker, "Wagon Wheel" is Secor's first No. 1 and Rucker's sixth as an artist. The Ryman proved to be an especially fitting venue for the celebration, as Rucker is the most recent Grand Ole Opry inductee and Secor's Old Crow Medicine Show will be inducted this week.
