BMI and Supermarket Chain Host In-Store Performances by Songwriters
BMI partnered recently (10/5/13) with Giant Eagle in hosting live music performances by two hit country songwriters from Nashville at two of the supermarket chain’s Pittsburgh-area store locations. Dave Pahanish and Bruce Wallace, who have penned songs for the likes of Toby Keith, Dierks Bentley, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw and Montgomery Gentry, performed their hits and told the stories behind their songs for Giant Eagle Market District shoppers at the Robinson and Wexford, PA, stores. The goal of the partnership was to enhance the shopping experience for Giant Eagle customers and drive traffic to the stores. Giant Eagle customers were able to obtain complimentary tickets to the shows through the store website, which entitled them to discount coupons as well as free food and beverage samples offered in conjunction with the performances.
