BMI, Warner Music Nashville and the Music Row community recently gathered at Starstruck Entertainment to honor two No. 1 songs recorded by Blake Shelton: “Boys Round Here” and “Mine Would Be You,” marking Blake’s 9th and 10th consecutive No. 1 singles. The first song honored at the afternoon reception, “Boys Round Here,” was co-written by Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins and Craig Wiseman. Davidson, Akins and Wiseman have racked up 17, 17, and 21 chart-toppers, respectively. After the “Boys Round Here” No. 1 celebration, BMI’s Jody Williams quickly segued to the next No. 1 song, honoring the team behind Shelton’s “Mine Would Be You,” co-written by Jessi Alexander, Connie Harrington and Deric Ruttan.
