March 22, 2016 Pictured (L-R) at the SXSW world premiere of “Best and Most Beautiful Things” are the film’s producer and editor, Emmy winner and Oscar nominee Jeff Consiglio; BMI’s Anne Cecere; BMI film composer Tyler Strickland; and director Garrett Zevgetis. “Best and Most Beautiful Things” is the story of a precocious 20-year-old woman named Michelle Smith, who lives with her mother Julie off a dirt road in rural Maine. Michelle is quirky and charming, legally blind and diagnosed on the autism spectrum, with big dreams and varied passions. Searching for connection, Michelle explores love and empowerment outside the limits of “normal” through a provocative fringe community. Will she take the leap to experience the wide world for herself? Michelle’s joyful story of self-discovery celebrates outcasts everywhere.
