Charts Stand By ‘Your Man’

Posted in News on April 12, 2006
Friends and music industry personnel converged on BMI Nashville's main lobby April 5 to celebrate a landmark in BMI songwriter Jace Everett's burgeoning career-his first No.1 single. Performed by booming vocalist Josh Turner, "Your Man" supplied both artist and writer with their first time atop the charts.

Pictured at the #1 celebration are Sea Gayle Music's Frank Rogers (also producer of the song), EMI Music's Gary Overton, BMI songwriter Jace Everett, BMI's David Preston, MCA recording artist Josh Turner, MCA's Royce Risser, Sea Gayle Music's Liz O'Sullivan, Sea Gayle Music's Chris DuBois and "Your Man" co-writer Chris Stapleton. Everett's recently released Sony debut, Bad Things, features hell-raising rockers and soul-baring ballads that make up a musical biography of a young entertainer who's paid his dues in just about every kind of day job you can imagine, and who's already played all over the world.
